Our Journeys story of the week is “My Family.” There are 14 spelling words and 2 challenge (bonus) words. There are also 10 high frequency words. Please have your child practice reading, writing, and spelling both lists of words. Vocabulary words and Grammar skill for lesson 2 are in the Journeys textbook, if you’d like to review these with your child. Language Arts tests will be on Friday, September 1st.
We’re continuing Addition to 20 in Sadlier Math. Practicing math facts using flash cards is a great way to help your child become more confident in math.
ReadnQuiz: Since we’ll be out of school next Monday for Labor Day, your child will have extra time to read and test over his/her RQ book. Please make sure your child reads his/her RQ book and passes the RQ quiz before Monday, September 11th. Also, please check to make sure your child returns his/her library books to school Monday, September 11th.
