Good Morning First Graders and Families!
Here are the assignments for Easter week. I know some of you received your packets last week and have already started on some of the papers. If you have finished some of what I’m assigning for the week, please complete the extra papers in the packet (coloring pages, scavenger hunt, craft). I’ll be posting videos to go with some of the assignments, so please check the blog daily. Please email me with any questions. Thank you!
Day 1
Reading: Read the story of the week - “Henry and Mudge and Mrs. Hopper’s House.” Read with someone or to yourself.
Spelling: practice writing your spelling words for the week.
Writing/Grammar: Journal writing - Write about a good neighbor you have. Complete the sentence: I really like my neighbor whose name is ____________. Then write 2 more sentences about your neighbor. Draw a picture to illustrate.
Math: Geometry: watch the video and complete the math papers in packet.
Science/Social Studies: Click on the Scholastic Learn at Home link on the sidebar. Complete Week 2, Day 7 - Car and Bus Safety.
Day 2
Reading: Watch “Henry and Mudge and Mrs. Hopper’s House” video on blog; follow along in your book.
Spelling: rainbow write your spelling words
Phonics: write your high frequency words in ABC order
Writing/Grammar: watch video about adjectives and complete adjective pages from packet
Math: IXL or Istation Math
Science/Social Studies: Scholastic Learn at Home - week 2, day 9 - Social and Emotional Learning - Empathy and Kindness
Day 3
Reading: Review “Henry and Mudge and Mrs. Hopper’s House.’ Read to yourself or with someone else.
Spelling: write your spelling words in ABC order
Writing/Grammar: Journal writing - write about a costume you have worn. Complete the sentence: My favorite costume is _______________. Tell me about your costume and when you wore it. Draw a picture to illustrate your story.
Math: IXL or Istation Math
Science/Social Studies: Scholastic Learn at Home - week 2, day 10 - Math and Science - Measurement
