Weekly Assignments

Weekly Assignments for weeks 4/14 - 4/17 and 4/20 - 4/24

Paper packets were sent out by mail this past Friday. If your child has not received the packet yet, please work on the online assignments then come back and complete the paper assignments when the papers arrive. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Day 1

Reading: watch the “Tippy-Toe Chick Go!” Video posted on the blog
Writing/Grammar: complete the High Frequency Words worksheet in the packet
Spelling: write spelling words in your best handwriting worksheet
Math: Visit Epic and read assigned book “What’s a fraction?” Watch assigned video “Peg and Cat - The Pizza Problem.” Complete worksheet Lesson 14-1, Equal Shares (p. 535)
Science/Social Studies: watch Mystery Science video posted on blog “Why are butterflies so colorful?”

Day 2

Reading: Read “Tippy-Toe Chick Go!” By yourself or with someone (Printed copy in packet)
Writing/Grammar: Religion - trace words to Angel of God prayer on worksheet
Spelling: Watch spelling words teaching video and complete unscramble spelling words worksheet
Math: watch teaching video on blog about halves and fourths and complete worksheets from lesson 14-3, 14-4, Make Fourths, Halves and Fourths (p. 541, 549)
Science/Social Studies: Scholastic Learn at Home - week 3, day 14 - Animal Science - Life cycles

Day 3

Reading: Read along with “Tippy-Toe Chick Go!” As you watch the video again
Writing/Grammar: watch teaching video about Angel of God prayer then complete fill-in-the blanks prayer and color and cut out cardstock prayer.
Spelling: word search worksheet
Math: complete Chapter 14 Review (p. 557, 558)
Science/Social Studies: assignment on Epic - watch SciShow Kids - Butterfly video

Day 4

Reading: assignment on Epic - read/listen to “From Egg to Butterfly” 
Writing/Grammar: watch teaching video about Imperative sentences and complete worksheet
Spelling: make complete sentences using spelling words worksheet
Math: IXL or Istation Math
Science/Social Studies: watch teaching video about butterflies and butterfly craft

Day 5

Reading: assignment on Epic - read “We Celebrate Earth Day in the Spring”
Writing/Grammar: Earth Day Color by Code - Sight Words worksheet
Spelling: rainbow write spelling words
Math: Starfall Math
Science/Social Studies: watch Happy Earth Day video posted on the blog

Day 6

Reading: read “A Pet for Diego” worksheet
Writing/Grammar: follow the directions on “A Pet for Diego” worksheet and complete
Spelling: write spelling words in ABC order
Math: IXL or Istation Math
Science/Social Studies: Scholastic Learn at Home - week 3, day 15 - Earth Science - Trash and Recycling

Day 7

Reading: Istation Reading with ISIP
Writing/Grammar: Journal writing - write about your favorite snack and tell where you get it or how you make it. Complete the sentences: My favorite snack is _____________. I like it because it tastes ____________. I buy it at ___________  OR  I make it by _________. Illustrate.
Spelling: take a practice spelling test by numbering your paper 1 - 12 and having someone call out your spelling words for you to write.
Math: Starfall Math
Science/Social Studies: Nature Scavenger Hunt worksheet
