Our Journeys story of the week is “The Goat in the Rug.” There are 14 spelling words and 2 challenge (bonus) words. There are also 10 high frequency words. Please have your child practice reading, writing, and spelling both lists of words. Our spelling words are base words plus endings -y, -ly, and -ful. We also have 2 review words with endings -ed and -ing. Vocabulary words and Grammar skill (irregular verbs) for lesson 23 are in the Journeys textbook, if you’d like to review these with your child. Language Arts tests will be on Friday, March 22nd.
ReadnQuiz: Because of the Book Fair, students were unable to check out library books the week before Spring break, so there is no RQ requirement for March 18th. There are several students with overdue library books, so please check to make sure your child returns his/her library books to school Monday, 3/18, to avoid overdue/replacement fees.
