Homework for week 2/26 - 3/1/2024

Our Journeys story of the week is “Penguin Chick.” There are 14 spelling words and 2 challenge (bonus) words. There are also 10 high frequency words. Please have your child practice reading, writing, and spelling both lists of words. Vocabulary words and Grammar skill (adjectives) for lesson 21 are in the Journeys textbook, if you’d like to review these with your child. Language Arts tests will be on Friday, March 1st.

We’ll be starting Money and Time in Sadlier Math. We’re also taking Cogat tests this week.

ReadnQuiz: There was some confusion over RQ since we didn’t have Library last Monday. Please make sure your child reads his/her RQ book and passes the RQ test before Monday, February 26th, if he/she didn’t take a test on the RQ book he/she has. All library books need to be returned by 2/26.

We’re finishing chapter 6 in Sadlier Math and will have the chapter test on Friday, February 23rd.

2nd Grade Fun!

 2nd Grade had so much fun celebrating Valentine’s Day with delicious cupcakes, decorating sugar cookies, and fun games. A big thank you to Brooklyn’s mom, Sophie’s mom, and Jacob’s mom for helping us celebrate. 

We also had fun learning about the Super Bowl and graphing who we think would win. Spoiler alert: the majority of 2nd graders guessed correctly (especially those who voted for Taylor Swift’s team!🤣)
