Spreading Sunshine Assignment
Good Morning First Graders! It’s a beautiful, sunny day. Sometimes, the word sunshine can mean the warm, bright light we see that comes from the sun, and sometimes, the word sunshine can mean happiness or kindness. Today, we’re going to create a craft that shows how we can spread sunshine or kindness.
I started by thinking of ways I can show kindness to the people I live with. My mom has flowers in her yard, so I thought I could show her love and kindness by helping water her flowers. I wrote a sentence about that and then drew a picture.
I colored and cut out the sun and then the stripes that I glued to the back of the sun. I decided to color my stripes like a rainbow, but you can use any colors you want! Please hang this in a window in your home, along with the thank you coloring pages I sent. Maybe it will bring some “sunshine” to everyone who sees them!
Please check out the video on the blog about kindness. I hope you get outside today and get some REAL sunshine! 🔆 Remember, the best gift you can give anyone is kindness!
